Southwest Chapter's Parade & BBQ

When:   May 6th

Where: Elk Grove  Regional Park - which is located East of Hwy 99, in Elk Grove, CA, which is just south of Sacramento, CA..          SEE DRIVING DIRECTIONS AND MAP BELOW.

Times: Parade starts at 11:00 a.m. -- BBQ starts about 12:30 p.m., OR shortly after the parade. If you are not participating in the parade, you can go directly to the BBQ area and hang out there. The BBQ area will be open by 8:45 a.m.  Parade participants will leave the park at 9:20 a.m. and will go to the parade staging area.   SEE PARK MAP BELOW.

This year, club is hosting a parade and BBQ/POTLUCK  for ALL  members and friends. The club will furnish beef hot dogs, buns, mustard, ketchup, relish, onions, paper plates, and plastic eating utensils.

It will also furnish the BBQ equipment and a gourmet chef, so you won't have to burn your own weenies or buns.

As in the past, we are asking everyone to PLEASE bring one of the following condiments, to share with everyone:

                        side dish  --  chips & dip  --  sodas  --  salad  --  ?

Your help in bringing a condiment to the BBQ/potluck is greatly appreciated!

Arrive by 8:45 a.m. at picnic area 7 and get instructions on the parade. We will depart from the park at 9:20 a.m. and head for the parade's staging area. Don't forget to bring you camera for pictures that you can summit to next years calendar and the Club's event scrap book. Bring  comfy chairs, and proper clothes...it could be hot or cool. Also cold bottled water or?

We will have a small swap meet during and after the BBQ. PLEASE bring parts that are not greasy or leaking oil. You can place your parts on a small tarp, on the lawn, but try and keep your parts within your vehicle please. NO TRAILERS full of parts. We want to leave the picnic area clean.

Why the registration form?  The registration form helps the club know how many are coming, which helps to determine the amount of food and supplies to purchase for the event.

This event is being put on with monies raised from past events.

NOTE: All donation, raffle, and registration monies, if implied, go directly to pay for this event and to promote future events....A expenditure/ financial web page will show all expenses or donations.
